You like? My Style? Gee thanks – I built it!

I have a professional background in graphic design, website building, and marketing, but long before I worked in advertising, these areas were my hobbies. Are you old enough to remember Myspace? Myspace is where I cut my baby teeth on coding with HTML!

I absolutely loved being able to tinker with the letters and symbols to create a profile that represented my personality, and would stay up all hours of the night adjusting colors and fonts and adding pixelated “snow” that would drift across the screen.

Of course, at the time, I had no idea how relevant my hobbies would be later on in life, but here we are!

Coming from an advertising and marketing background, I knew when I started Makaristic that presentation would be important, and so I invested a lot of time, effort, and energy into building my website, online identity, and client experience – all the way down to the confirmation and followup emails they receive.

That investment has been returned, in spades! I regularly receive feedback from clients that my website (or social media, or reviews) were what sealed the deal for them when deciding who to book with.

After seeing what an impact these (seemingly small) things have had on the success of my business, I want to help other people in the spiritual field to do the same. I think we’re moving, as a collective, into a time when we’ll need as many healers and helpers on deck as possible, and I don’t want inefficient booking experiences and basic websites to be the reason you’re overlooked.
